What danger is the ocean in?

1. Oceans are becoming hotter, more acidic, and oxygen-poor.

2. This, together with the effects of pollution, habitat degradation, and overfishing, is causing a decline in marine biodiversity.

3. The ocean is also being affected by harmful algal blooms, which are caused by pesticides seeping into the ocean and causing the algae to grow at a very fast rate, using up all the oxygen in that area which can create dead zones, areas with little to no oxygen.

4. When there are lower numbers of sea turtles in the ocean the ocean will also be affected by jellyfish blooms, which are cause when there are low numbers of sea turtles and then not much of the jellyfish will get eaten which will cause a lot of jellyfish to roam around the ocean freely.
